- Landscape fragmentation
- Abstract
Landscape fragmentation calculated according to fragmentation geometry (FG) method. A set of natural and anthropogenic barriers were aggregated in order to analyze the degree of lanscape fragmentation based on Corine land cover 2018. This analyzes was carried according the guidelines provided by European Union (EEA, 2001) that sets different levels of FG. FG-A1 considers major anthropogenic fragmentation; FG-A2, major and medium anthropogenic fragmentation and FG-B2 major and medium anthropogenic fragmentation and natural barriers such as rivers, lakes, mountians above 2000 masl. Natural fragmenting elements: 5.1.2: Water bodies Anthropogenic fragmenting elements: 1.1: Continuous urban fabric, discontinuous urban fabric, 1.2: Industrial and commercial units, road and rail networks and associated land, port areas, and airports, 1.3: Mineral extraction sites, dump sites, and construction sites, 1.4.1: Green urban areas, 1.4.2: Sport and leisure facilities (only included as a barrie...
