Number of companies operating (2018) according to the forest area for exploitation (2018) per municipality. The timber demand index calculated is a modified version of the formulas proposed by Kroll et al.(2012):
(WP X NC) / FAE
where, WP is the wood production (average 2013-2017), NC is ithe number of companies, and FAE the forest area allowed for exploitation at each municipality. Data in m3 per ha. Classes were carried out according to Quantile interval.

- Wood production from Lithuanian Statistical Department (2018), number of companies from Lithuanian State Forest Enterprise (2018) (https://osp.stat.gov.lt/en) and forest area allowed for exploitation from Lithuanian State Forest Service (2018). Timber demand was calculated according to a modified formula from Kroll et al. (2012)* Kroll, F., Muller, F., Haase, D., Fohrer, N., 2012.
